From the writing session or even notes app in your phone or from the back of a napkin that was in your pocket for four years. The night will begin and end with the sounds of a sound bowl and wind chimes.

About Yailenne Escobar & Para Las Mujeres:

Yailenne Escobar (she/her) is a Colombian American artist, photographer, dancer, and storyteller based in Brooklyn, by way of Chicago. Her multidisciplinary practice weaves together movement, image-making, and dialogue to honor memory, celebrate culture, and nurture community. Whether through a photograph, a salsa step, or a shared conversation, she is drawn to the moments where vulnerability meets joy.

Through uncensored conversations on identity, queerness, mental health, and culture, Para Las Mujeres centers the voices of Women of Color and fosters collective empowerment. These gatherings reflect her belief that storytelling is a powerful act of resistance and restoration.
